Sultaniye Thermal Springs

The Sultaniye thermal resort, located 4 km from Dalyan on the way to Köyceğiz, is considered the main radon source in Turkey. You can get here by car or by boat from Dalyan.
The water, with a temperature of about 39°C, contains calcium chloride, calcium sulfate, calcium sulfide, and radon. It is believed to have beneficial effects on health in cases of rheumatism, sciatica, skin, and some gynecological diseases.
Entry to the area is very inexpensive. The complex has two indoor and one outdoor sulfur pool, a mud bath, and a café. It is known that the local mud and thermal water were used by the inhabitants of the ancient city of Kaunos. First, you can take a mud bath and leave the mud on your body for about 15 minutes: as it dries, it tightens the skin and cleanses the pores. Then it is washed off in the showers or directly in the lake, and you move on to the thermal pools.
Due to the high mineral content, the water has a characteristic smell of hydrogen sulfide, so it is advisable to plan your clothing and further plans for the day in advance. At the end of such a procedure, you will feel noticeably relaxed both in body and mind.
