Akçapınar

Akçapınar is a small but rapidly changing village just 4 km from Akyaka. In recent years, along with the growing popularity of the Gökova valley, new cafes, bars, and restaurants have started to appear here, and the village has developed its own special atmosphere. At the same time, compared to Akyaka, Akçapınar still retains a more calm, 'village' character: less hustle, more space, and tranquility.
One of the tributaries of the Azmak River flows through Akçapınar — locals call it the Amazon. This is a wide, quieter, and more peaceful part of the river compared to the branches near Akyaka. Here, the conditions for kayaking and paddleboarding are ideal: smooth water, green shores, and almost no boat traffic.
During a kayak or small boat trip, stopping for a swim in the Amazon area is a real pleasure: the water is clean and refreshing, surrounded only by nature and silence. Many consider the activities in Akçapınar to be some of the best in the region precisely because there is not such dense development and restaurants along the shore as in Akyaka.
Kayaks can be rented at the entrance to the village — near the famous snack bar Akçapınar Tostçusu. Be sure to try the Turkish pizza – pide and wash it down with real village ayran with foam or a fresh mix of orange and pomegranate juice. To enjoy nature without the crowd and the scorching sun, it's better to come early, in the morning hours. The branch of the Azmak in Akçapınar stretches all the way to the famous kite beach and flows into the sea there, so during your water trip, you will also see one of the best kite spots in the region from an unusual angle.
